There was a rapid knock on your door. One that came from someone who was very persistent to keep on knocking until you woke up. You wake up from your deep slumber and trudge on over to your dorm door. When you opened the door, you saw Kurt standing there with a big toothy grin on his face.

"Hey (Name)!" Kurt said with his usual accent. "It's Saturday!"

"Why yes Kurt, it is," you yawned. "And I'd like to spend my Saturday in bed....sleeping."

Kurt's blue cheeks suddenly turned a bright red color from embarrassment. It wasn't too often that you got to see Kurt blush like that but when you did, it was very adorable. You cleared your throat, feeling a bit awkward about the thought that had passed through your mind.

There was no doubt that Kurt was a cutie. A young boy that you wished you could call yours.

"R-Right," he blushed. He tried not to notice your bed head and sleepy face that was too cute in his opinion. "I was just hoping that you and I could go out and have some fun!"

"What kind of fun?" you asked curiously.

"One word," he grinned. "Carnival."

After taking a shower, eating breakfast and brushing your teeth, you ran downstairs of the X Mansion. Kurt was already downstairs, blue fur and skin gone. He now looked like the average teenaged boy with white skin however, his hair was still midnight blue and his eyes were a dark violet color. The watch Professor X had made him was spectacular. The last thing you wanted was for Kurt to get picked on by others who didn't understand that he was harmless. Or worse, get beat up.

"Ready to go?" he asked.

"Yup!"

"Well then, let's go m'lady," he grinned.

He held his arm to you and you took it, giggling as you both left the X Mansion to head to the carnival that was in town. When you both finally arrived, you saw lots of people there even though it was early. It was only going to get worse later on in the afternoon.

"What do you want to ride first?" Kurt asked.

You looked around at all the rides the carnival had to offer. Everything looked fun to try. The smiling faces of teens and children that left certain booths proved it. There were water themed games you could play; like using a small scooper to try and scoop a goldfish up from a small pond. You were really decisive.  Then you saw something that made you shout in joy.

"That!" you pointed.

Kurt looked to see a large "Haunted House"  ride with cars that moved along a railroad track. There was a good line to get on but he didn't mind waiting.

"Are you sure you won't get scared?" he smirked.

You playfully punched his shoulder. "Yes, I'm sure. What about you?"

He rubbed his arm pretending that you hurt him. "I'm fearless!"

"Let's go then."

You grabbed his hand and ran him with him towards the ride. You both got on line and talked about random things while the line moved. Nearby you heard some high school girls giggling about how cute Kurt looked and if he went to their high school. You stood closer to Kurt, feeling a little jealous. Kurt didn’t seem to hear what the high school girls had been saying about him but he noticed that you were standing closer to him now. It caused his face to grow hot and his palms sweaty with nervousness. He cleared his throat and reminded himself to keep calm while you looked off towards the entrance of the ride that you were both nearing.

Once you both finally stepped inside the little car, you realized how close you were seated next to him. Your legs were touching, your shoulders were touching. Your entire body was pressed up against his. He didn't mind but he was strangely redder than ever before. You could feel the blood pumping in your veins pulsing in your ears, your hands gripped the safety steel bar so hard that your knuckles turned white.

“Already scared?” Kurt teased. He had noticed the way your behavior had changed but he didn’t know for what reasons.

“No,” you scoffed. “This ride is for babies.”

He ruffled your hair. “So then you should probably get off.”

You shot him a look. “Haha, so funny.”

The car jerked forward, you two descending through the doors of the “mansion” that opened automatically when the car approached. Everything was pitch black at first. The only thing that could be heard was the car’s wheels rolling against the metal track, a small chugging sound echoing throughout the ride. Next to you, Kurt was drumming his fingers along the steel safety bar. You looked around, squinting your eyes to catch any sort of glimpse of light.

“This is boring—” Kurt began.

He was interrupted by a large flash of light that came on along with a loud clap of thunder. It made you let out a rather girlish shriek that left you embarrassed. During the jumpscare you had thrown your arms around Kurt’s neck and hide your face in his chest.

“Whoa, (Name), calm down,” he said, patting your back. “It was just some jumpscare. You can open your eyes now….”

Your grip on his shirt loosened and you pulled back to see the haunted house lit with fake candles that were supposed to give the place and eerie glow. As the car moved, furniture moved around and “levitated” all on its own. You smiled, realizing that your reaction from earlier was really silly. This haunted house wasn’t scary at all. In fact, it was very goofy. As the car made sudden twists and turns, it left you and Kurt laughing. All that lurked behind corners were fake fires and skeletons with high pitched laughs and rattling bones that created a funky tune. Looks like the only thing that got you to scream was the jumpscare in the beginning of the ride.

When the ride did end, you and Kurt were both tearing up from laughing so much. Others didn’t understand what was so funny but they would soon find out for themselves when they entered that joke for a ride. Kurt helped you stepped out the car and you both headed off to look for another ride.

“Hey, that one over there looks interesting,” he said.

You looked to the ride he was pointing at and cocked your head to the side curiously. Your vision wasn’t too good but the ride looked very...pink for some odd reason. You nodded and walked towards the ride with Kurt. There you joined the ride that also, oddly had lots of couples waiting. Eventually it was your turn to step on the small boat that was perfect for two. Once the ride started, you were both scummed by darkness once more. This time however, there was no flashing lights.

Then it hit you why. Your cheeks turned bright red. It was a love tunnel ride. A ride that was meant for couples only. You nervously chewed on your bottom lip and stared at your feet. You thought about lying to Kurt and pretending you didn’t know what the ride was but decided that that was a bad idea.

“Um Kurt,” you blushed. “This is the Tunnel of Love.”

“Huh?” he raised an eyebrow at you confused.

“It’s a ride for couples,” you further explained. “You know a ride so that couples can kiss and stuff?”

“Oh.” He paused. “Oh.”

“Yeah….”

There was an unsettling silence between the two of you that made you squirm in your seat uncomfortably. Had Kurt regretted coming on this ride with you without knowing any better? You wished you could see what he looked like but it was too dark to tell for sure and you honestly were too scared to take a peek at his facial expressions. You sat in the small love boat with your hands on your lap, a small sigh of relief leaving your lips when you saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon this mistake you had made would all be over.

“Hey (Name)?”

You jumped in your seat at the sound of Kurt’s voice dragging you away from your troublesome thoughts. You turned so that your upper body faced his and cleared your throat to prevent your voice from sounding shaky when you responded.

“Yes?”

You felt a sudden warmth spread across your lips. Your eyes widened, startled you were, and it was then that you realized that this warmth was radiating off of Kurt’s own lips. And then you heard a small click. A click that signified that Kurt had taken the watch off and his true blue form was exposed to you. He nervously put his hands on your waist, one hand moving to the small of your back to pull you closer to him. You tentatively wrapped your arms around his neck to close the close proximity. You could feel how nervous Kurt was with the way his hands shaked slightly and you didn’t blame for you were just as nervous.

But he had gathered the courage to press his lips against yours and soon, the warmth in his body was yours and yours, his. You felt your heart pounding in your throat and your hands gripped his loose flannel shirt. It was an exhilarating feeling that you were experiencing. It was similar to the adrenaline rush you experienced when in the training room of the X Mansion but so much better.

His lips moved softly against your own, being the gentle person that he was as the hand at your waist caressed your sides.  The light at the end of the tunnel neared and Kurt pulled away with a sigh and a chuckle soon leaving his lips before he quickly snapped his watch back on. When you were able to visibly see again, you saw him with the usual white skin and blue hair disguise. But you also saw his redden cheeks and the cool smirk on his lips.

“We should do that again,” he said.

“Yeah,” you nodded. “We should.”
Another Kurt one-shot, yaaaaayyy XD
