Your alarm woke you with its loud, annoying buzz. You bolted right out of bed and ran to take a quick shower, leaving your alarm on to wake Bucky up. Even after being in a two year relationship with him, you still couldn’t wake him up without the help of your trusty alarm clock. When he wanted to sleep in, he would sleep in. However if he were on a mission then his senses would be heightened and he would be awoken with just the simple sound of a creaking step. It was traits like these that confused you about Bucky but also made you love him even more.

When you walked out of the shower, the beeping had stopped and Bucky was now sitting up in bed with a grumpy expression on his face.

“Do I have to go?” he groaned. “Why can’t you just take Steve?”

“Would you really be okay if I did that?” you raised an eyebrow at him.

“Yes because he's my friend and I trust you both to leave you alone with each other. Plus you met him first before you met me and nothing happened in that time. So I have nothing to worry about,” he said, lips quirking upwards in a smile.

You sighed and plopped down next to him in bed, head hitting the mattress.

“Buuuckkkyyy,” you whined. “I’ve waited all year to do be able to do this. Last year I couldn’t go because you were sent off to some mission and when I tried to drag you to another convention, you refused. I just want to do something fun with you. Please? Can we go?”

“It’s just....I don’t like being in such big crowds. It annoys me,” he frowned.

“Yeah....I know....”

You looked away, biting your lower lip as you tried to think of what to do to convince him. After the whole Winter Soldier escapade that had happened with SHIELD and the secret organization known as Hydra that had been lying dormant all those years, Bucky hadn’t changed so much back into his normal self. Steve had told you that he used to be much more outgoing but now he liked to keep to himself.

You sat up and wrapped your towel tighter around yourself and reached for your cellphone that was on the nightstand.
“What are you doing?” Bucky asked puzzled.

“Calling Tony,” you answered. “Steve told me that he would be busy today and I know for sure that Tony wouldn’t pass up comic con so I’m gonna ask if I can tag along with him.”

“Wait, what?”

Bucky was certainly surprised that you hadn’t pushed the subject any further. Usually you tried begging and bribing him but now you had simply accepted his wishes.

“I know you don’t like big crowds and since it’s comic con, people will be getting into your face and trying to take pictures with you and all that. I don’t want to put you through that stress since it’s not fair to you. So....it’s okay,” you smiled, grabbing his metal hand. “Tomorrow we can do something a little more indoors like go see a movie or eat at one of those fancy restaurants.”

You smiled kindly at him before going back to your phone to dial Tony’s number. Bucky chewed on his lower lip as he thought everything over. Comic con had always been an important thing to you and each time you tried to make plans to go any event similar to that with Bucky, he would always decline. He was beginning to feel a little guilty especially since you had been so understanding with him.

“No don’t do that,” he said, grabbing your hand to end the call in process. “I’ll go with you. I think it’s about time that I went with you anyways.”

You blinked in surprise. “Wait, what? Are you serious?”
“As serious as I can be,” he grinned.

“OhmygoshIloveyousomuch!” you squealed in delight, throwing your arms around him in a tight hug.

Bucky chuckled and softly padded your back.

“Alright I’m gonna go get ready so in the meantime, why don’t you try putting together an outfit that’ll make you less conspicuous to people?”

“I’ll do just that,” he nodded.

You gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing your bag and dashing off towards the bathroom again to quickly get changed. When you had emerged from the bathroom several hours later with your hair and makeup done, Bucky had been sitting on your bed with a black snapback on and a black scarf covering his lips. What you made you smile was the fact that he was wearing the Batman logo sweater you had bought him a few months ago.

He looked at you surprised and impressed at the Poison Ivy costume you had made yourself. You wore a plastic green leafed covered corset with see-through green stockings that had small daisies with tiny diamonds next to it; which wrapped around your legs like a vine.  The hair from your red wig reached just underneath your breasts and had been styled into loose curls.

“So how do I look?” you asked with an excited smile.

“You look….wow….I mean just….wow,” he breathed.

“T-Thank you,” you blushed.

You walked over to him and grabbed his hand, pulling him up from bed. At the same time you wrapped your arms around his neck, he wrapped his arms around your waist. Since you were wearing heels you were able to kiss his lips easily without having to stand on your tippy toes. All you needed to do was pull down the scarf from his lips. Bucky smiled into the kiss you gave him.

“Are you sure you want to go? You don’t have to do this,” you reassured him.

“No, I want to. I think it’s about time that I see what the fuss is all about.”

“You’re gonna love it, trust me,” you grinned.

“Hey Poison Ivy!” someone called behind you. “Can you take a picture with us, please?”

You turned around with a smile on your face to see two young girls. One was an Asian girl who was dressed as Batgirl while her Hispanic friend was dressed as Supergirl. Your smiled brightened and you agreed, handing Bucky your things before going to pose with them.

“Okay...one...two...three,” Bucky said before taking the picture with one of the girls’ cellphone.

Thankfully for Bucky’s disguise, no one had recognized him yet. He usually walked behind you instead of by your side; you holding his hand as you led him around the con. You showed him all the cool booths that had been set up as well as made him try on a few t-shirts that you thought would look great on him. In the end, he had actually bought the Venom hoodie you suggested and was wearing it now. Whenever he took pictures for people, he did it using one hand since he didn’t want to attract attention to his metal arm.

“Thanks so much!” the girls smiled before walking off.

“You know, you forgot to tell me that people take pictures of you,” Bucky commented while you both walked towards the booths where the prints were available.

“Well it’s harmless, really. When you see someone dress up as your favorite character, you want to take a picture with them because it’s like you took a picture with that character. Don’t tell me, you’re jealous Bucky?” you said, faking shock.

He rolled his eyes. “No, I’m not,” he pouted. He stopped for a second to wrap his arm around your waist, bringing you close to him which caused a blush to rise to your cheeks. “And it’s because it’s me who’s going to be the one who gets take off that stunning costume off of you.”

“Bucky, we’re in public!” you whispered-yelled. “There are children around too!”

In reality you were only saying this in hopes that he would stop and it would make you stop from blushing so hard. With that look he was also giving you, it was making you get butterflies in your stomach.

He chuckled and then leaned in to whisper in your ear, “Fine. But maybe later we can try that thing Tony once told me about....roleplaying I think it is?”

Your eyes widened and you started to act timid around him. “Oh gosh, don’t say that,” you laughed nervously, hiding your blushing face in the crook of his neck. “You don’t know what you’re asking from me.”

“We’ll talk about it when we get home then,” he laughed.

Bucky tilted your chin up with one hand so that he could grace a sweet tender kiss upon your lips. He let go of you but laced his fingers through yours so that you both could continue walking throughout the con.

“Finally!” you heard someone shout behind you. “An actual good Poison Ivy cosplay!”

You looked over your shoulder to see a guy dressed up as Deadpool wearing a Sailor Moon outfit. He skipped over towards you, slightly pushing Bucky out of the way as he threw his arms around you in a huge hug.

“You have to take a picture with me!” he begged. “Please!”

You blinked rapidly, trying to grow accustomed to all of this energy he was emitting. Bucky shifted from foot-to-foot awkwardly behind you two. He raised an eyebrow at the man but didn’t open his mouth to say anything.

“Alright sure,” you nodded with a polite smile.

“Yay!” he squealed.

He shoved a camera into Bucky’s hand and made him stand back as you both posed with one another. The first one had been a serious fighter pose while the second became a goofy one with “Deadpool” trying to wear one of the flowers in your hair, on his head. But it didn’t stop there. Apparently he had wanted several to show off to his friends who couldn’t make it to comic con. Three pictures later and you were beginning to get uncomfortable with the way he was standing closer and closer to you. He moved one hand at your waist and you could tell that Bucky was tight lipped due to the way he narrowed his eyes down at the man. Just when it couldn’t get any worse, his hands tried to venture to places without your permission.

“Whoa! Dude!” you said. “I think that’s enough! We gotta get going now.”

“Oh come on,” he whined. “Just one more.”

“No. I’m not comfortable with the way you were trying to ‘pose’ with me,” you frowned.

Bucky stepped by your side, shoving the camera back into “Deadpool’s” hands. You could tell that he didn’t want to make a scene with the way he grabbed your hand and started tugging you away.

“What? Seriously?” the man continued to whine. “It’s comic con, lady! Get your head out of your ass and get with the program!”

“Is this guy serious?” Bucky muttered annoyed.

“Let’s just go. This loser isn’t worth it,” you rolled your eyes.

“Excuse me?” he snapped, taking a large step towards you.

You felt threatened for a moment but then a little confused as to what was going on as Bucky pushed you protectively behind him. By mistake, or perhaps on purpose to make himself look scarier, Bucky pushed back the fake Deadpool with his metal arm. It sent the man more than just a few steps back. He had to flail his arms around to regain his balance and not fall on the floor.

“Stay away from my girl,” Bucky sneered at him.

Just in the nick of time, a security guard came by and grabbed “Deadpool” by the arm; proceeding to drag and kick him out of the con.

“I hate creeps like that,” various people muttered around before continuing on with their day.

A few asked if you were alright and you reassured them that you were. When you turned to Bucky to thank him, he had grabbed your hand and started to drag you towards the exit.

“Wait Bucky-!” you gasped. “I know what happened back there was bad but trust me! Not everyone at comic con is like that.”

“I know,” he stated. “I think it’s time that I got dressed up too.”

“Wait...you don’t mean….?”

“Oh hell yeah.”

After your experience with the fake Deadpool, Bucky had decided to take a few matters into his own hands to make sure that the rest of your day went by smoothly. So now, he stood by your side wearing his Winter Soldier outfit, that he had hidden in the car just in case, and did what you liked to call, “his signature murder walk.” Everyone was impressed by yours and his costume.

“Dude yours looks so real!” a man dressed as Goku said to him.

“Thanks,” Bucky said in a way that hinted that he was smirking proudly behind his mask.

“Is it okay if we take a few pictures with you guys?” a group of dressed up teens asked you two.

“Of course,” Bucky nodded.

You posed on one side of the group while Bucky posed on the other. You gave a flirt smile to the camera while Bucky did his death glare. The picture came out to both be hilarious and perfect. After that, it was two people who had asked kindly for a picture of the two of you. You did a couple of funny pictures with Bucky and on the final one, you gave him a kiss over his mask.

“Oh my gosh, I ship this now,” a girl gushed. “We can call it Poison Soldier. OR: Winter Ivy!”

“I like the sound of that,” Bucky winked at you.

As the con proceeded, whenever Bucky was the one taking a picture, he would always give a certain look to those who thought it’d be okay to get a little touchy touchy with you. The look worked perfectly and it made any on coming creeps back off. Overall, you were having a great day. Plus, you got to come to this con with Bucky like you always wanted.

However during the walk through the crowd to a booth, you ended up losing Bucky. You had become frantic during your search and started to come up with all sorts of crazy scenarios of what could go wrong.

“What if his metal arm falls off?” you whispered underneath your breath. “Or worse...someone tries to yank it off as a joke and it actually detaches!”

In your panicked state, you began to run everywhere and occasionally called out his name.

“Bucky!” you shouted.

“Here!”

You turned around, wide smile that had formed turning into a frown when you saw it was just someone dressed up as Bucky.

“Sorry...I meant, um, someone else.”

You quickly shuffled away and headed towards the back of the area to calm down and clear your head.

“Psst, (Name).”

“Huh?”

“Psssst. Back here!”

You looked around and saw a metal hand gesturing for you to come back behind this large pillar. When you turned the corner you were relieved to see that you had found your Bucky.

“Bucky!” you said, throwing your arms around him in a tight hug. “I thought I lost you. What happened?”

“Well first even if you did lose me, I am your ride so we would have met up at the car eventually—”

“Get to the second point,” you said deadpanned.

“Second….oh my God after I lost you those fangirls became intense. I just...I just didn’t know how to deal with them!” He ran a hand through his hair and looked away with shaken up expression on his face.

You couldn’t help but giggle. “It’s okay, Bucky. I’m here now and guess what?”

“What…?”

“I got this kickass Pop! Vinyl doll of you!” you said excitedly after whipping out the small toy from your bag.

“....Oh how reassuring of you.”

“Come on you have to admit it’s cute,” you pouted.

“....Only because it’s me.”

Hey guys! It's been so long since I've posted something but after my little trip to comic con last Sunday, I gotta a little inspiration to write this.

Now first off, really, not everyone is a creep at cons. Whether it's one for comics or anime however, you might encounter someone who can't take a hint. That's why it's important to tell someone when to back off when you start feeling uncomfortable.

Overall comic con is a great experience that everyone should enjoy!

And I hope you guys enjoyed this!

As a disclaimer I do not own Bucky or you or Marvel. This was purely just for fun ^^
