Loki had returned from Asgard after dealing with an important matter that involved Odin and Thor. The three of them had spent the afternoon discussing certain affairs about a neighboring village that had been attacked recently from an unknown enemy. They were all purposing ideas to solve the matter. Thor insisted on finding this new enemy and making him pay for all the lives that were lost whereas Odin and Loki tried to come up with a tactful plan of finding the enemy and preparing for his next attack. The last thing Asgard needed was another war.

When Heimdall teleported him back, he decided to head to your floor first. Of course Loki would want a peaceful moment with his beloved before the Avengers brought chaos into his life again with their usual bantering about nonsense. He entered the elevator and the doors opened to your floor in the Avengers Tower. He looked around, his emerald eyes not catching sight of you. Loki raised an eyebrow. You were usually sitting on the couch and watching TV. When he entered your floor, not a single thing could be heard. He looked around curiously and wondered if he had forgotten you telling him that you had plans today. His mind came up blank. You hadn’t mentioned anything of the sort.

Then he heard whispers coming from your bedroom.

He took silent strides to your bedroom and stopped just two inches away from the door so that he could listen in on what was being said.

“You know, you’re going to have to tell him…” A male voice, which apparently belonged to Tony Stark, sighed.

“He will find out eventually,” Pepper whispered. “Unlike Thor, Loki is quite perceptive of things and it will not be healthy for you and the rest of us if the God of Mischief gets angry.”

His eyes widened silently at hearing this. What could they possibly mean? Had you done something wrong? He was now very suspicious of what was being exchanged in the conversation and it made him more apprehensive than worried.

He then heard your voice come out in a shaky whisper.

“I know….But I fear that he won’t believe me when I tell him that it was an accident. What if he thinks I did this on purpose?”

More things had then been said but Loki didn’t hear any of it. Your last words lingered in his mind. What could this possibly mean? Anger began to boil up inside of him as the thought of you betraying him entered his mind. Of course such a thing would happen. It was in a Midgardians nature to fall victim to their needs.  How could Loki be such a fool to believe that you were any different? He should have predicted that such a thing would happen.

Tony and Pepper started heading to the door to leave so Loki made himself invisible so that he may slide past them to get into your room unnoticed. When they left your floor, he made himself appear. Your eyes widened when you saw him. He saw fresh tears in your (e/c) eyes but paid no mind to them.

“Care to explain?” he asked with a hiss.

You got up from bed, looking at him puzzled for a moment only to start shaking because it had dawned on you that Loki had overheard everything. You started to walk towards him, hands reaching out to him. He merely stepped, looking at you with disgust in his eyes.

“Loki...please, it’s not what you think,” you began.

“Really now? Ha,” he laughed dryly. “I should have never fallen for the likes of you.”

“Please, Loki!” you cried, reaching for his hands and grabbing them tight.

He tried to push you away from him. He looked at you as if the mere act of you touching him made his skin burn. Your eyes pleaded with him to stop being so cruel but Loki would hear nothing of it. It was clear to him what you had done. He didn’t want to be around you anymore.

“I knew I should have never given a pathetic creature like you a chance,” he hissed. “You’re all the same.” You tried to get near him but he just pushed you away again. This time it was hard enough to knock you back to the bed. “I should have conquered your ignorant species again when I had the chance. But I will not waste my time with you again.”

“Loki, wait!” you cried.

You couldn’t reach him in time as he disappeared into thin air, teleporting probably back to Asgard.

You fell to the floor on your knees, sobbing as the others soon showed up. JARVIS had informed them that you were in trouble and so now here they were trying to console and comfort you. Thor was the first to wrap his strong arms around your shaking form. He pulled you up off the floor towards the bed.

“Kid, what happened?” Tony asked as he knelt down in front of you. “Did you tell him?”

“Tell him what?” Natasha asked confused. “Do you need me to find him and break his jaw?”

“We’ll do that later, Nat,” Clint whispered to her.

“(Name), tell us what is wrong?” Thor begged.

Your sobbings had come to a slow stop with you now just hiccuping. Your wiped the tears away with the back of your hand.

“He thought I cheated on him…” you said. Eyes hard, voice raspy and with anger underneath the sadness.

“What?!” Tony and Pepper gasped.

“I don’t quite follow what’s going on,” Steve said confused.

“I didn’t cheat on him,” you whispered. “I’m pregnant.”

♦♦♦1 Year Later♦♦♦

Hair (h/c), skin a mixture of his and yours, eyes a sparkling bright emerald color. All with a smile that brought you joy.

Frigga Marie Lokison and Fenrir Anthony Lokison.

Twins. You had given birth to two beautiful children that you loved with all of your heart. They were the ones who had brought joy back into your life after it had become clear to you that Loki would never return. Thor said that his brother had not returned to Asgard at all and that he was hidden somewhere where not even Heimdall could see. Others had hoped that he had somehow died but you knew the truth. Loki was in hiding, probably doing something to relieve himself of all the anger and hatred he held towards you because he never found out the truth. He never gave you the chance to tell him that you were pregnant with his child—or children for that matter.

While you, Pepper, and Natasha shopped at a nearby mall for new clothes for you since you had lost your baby weight, Thor and the others stayed back with your twins. Thor held Frigga in his arms, throwing her up in the arm to make her erupt into fits of giggles. Steve held Fenrir on his lap, bouncing the baby boy on his knees to make him laugh as well. Tony, Clint, and Bruce were by the bar, each having a drink and conversing with one another.

“I’m telling you guys,” Tony said with wide, panicked eyes. “I think Pepper has been hinting to me that she wants children.”

“Why do you say that?” Bruce asked curiously.

“For starters, she’s been looking at baby magazines insisting that she’s looking for stuff for (Name) but I know she’s not,” Tony shook his head. “She’s been looking at them way too often.”

“So what? You don’t want kids?” Clint asked.

Tony took a sip of his drink, thinking the question over.

“I’d like to yes I don’t want them but hey, not gonna lie I’ve sketched up a blueprint for an Iron Baby suit,” Tony admitted.

“You’re crazy if you think Pepper will actually let you put that thing on her baby,” Bruce laughed.

“Hey,” Tony shrugged. “A guy can dream. And it will be our kid after all. Plus, it’ll be for his protection and stuff.”

“And if it’s a girl?” Clint asked.

“JARVIS can easily make it hot pink with silver,” Tony smirked. “Or maybe black with hot pink. Who knows what the kid will like?”

Bruce was about to say something until he noticed that the living room had gone completely silent. Even the babies had stopped giggling. The three men at the bar turned around to see Loki. It left them all stunned and Thor held the twins protectively against him, Steve standing up with his arms folded across his chest. Tony downed his drink quickly and strode over to the God.

“What are you doing here?” Tony snarled. “Haven’t you done enough damage already?”

“I….” Loki looked at the twins dazed. Their eyes matched his. “W-Who are they?”

“Your children, Loki,” Thor said solemnly.

“What?”

“You heard him,” Tony barked.

Seeing Loki again just reminded him of everything you went through. He remembered the nights JARVIS had informed him that you were crying yourself to sleep and he remembered all the times you would refuse to eat no matter how much the others insisted that you do it because of the babies. He especially remember the others having to force you out of your room almost everyday just so that you could see the sunlight. Tony had thought that you would never be happy again but thankfully the twins being born had changed that.

“Where’s (Name)?” Loki asked.

Tony did the only thing he could do: lie.

“She died during childbirth,” Tony began, glaring at him.

Loki looked horrified for a moment. He did his best to compose himself but even the God of Mischief couldn’t help but feel guilty for not being there.

“W-What…?”

“She. Died. During. Childbirth,” Tony growled, taking a step toward Loki. “And you know what her last words were? “Find Loki and tell him the children are his...show him the children so that they don’t have to grow up without ever knowing their father.” And we tried!” he spat. “But you were just being a little stubborn bitch and stayed in hiding.”

“Tony,” Thor said to snap the billionaire out of his rage.

The twins could sense the tension in the room and looked terrified. Loki desperately wanted to hold his own children but he knew that they wouldn’t allow him. Seeing them was enough, for now. But then, Thor’s gaze moved to behind his brothers shoulder. Everyone, including Loki, looked to see you standing there with Pepper and Natasha on either side of you. The Russian spy had dropped her bags and made a step in front of you, her eyes shooting daggers at Loki.

“What is this doing here?” she hissed.

“This, is just about to leave,” Tony said firmly.

The moment your eyes landed on Loki, you froze in your spot. Your eyes were wide with shock, tears threatening to spill. You thought you would never see him again. Why did it take him a year for him to return? Had Heimdall not told him about the pain you went through? Of course not since Heimdall couldn’t find him. Just as Tony was pushing Loki to leave, you dropped your bags and marched towards him.

“(Name), I—”

You punched his face before he could finish his sentence.

“Bastard!” you screamed. “How could you just leave like that?” You poked your finger hard into his chest. “I became a wreck because of you! And now you’re back like no big deal?! The fuck is wrong with you?!”

Loki was stunned seeing you so outraged like this. He accepted your treatment because he knew he deserved it. The others were just as stunned as him too whereas Tony was trying to hide a smile on his face. The God of Mischief was finally getting what he deserved. Frigga had started crying because of all the noise so you rushed to your baby. You stopped crying as you tried to comfort her, rocking her in your arms.

Loki approached you silently. “Can we please talk?”

“Funny. I remember trying to talk to you about a year ago only to get pushed away.”

“(Name), you’re right to not forgive me and I don’t expect you to do so,” he began. “I’d like to talk...to make up for everything that I’ve done. You don’t have to love me again. I just want to be able to their for my children.”

If it wasn’t for the way he looked down lovingly at Frigga’s face, you would have ordered Thor to use his hammer to kick him out. You thought long and hard about what you should say, the others waiting in anticipation. You walked over to Thor and scooped Fenrir up in your arms. You showed the twins to Loki.

“This is Frigga Marie Lokison,” you said slowly. “And this is Fenrir Anthony Lokison. I gave them your last name so that maybe you could be more convinced that they’re your children but they look just like you so there was no point in that.”

“They’re beautiful,” Loki whispered.

He reached forward to touch Frigga’s cheek. The small baby giggled when she felt her fathers cool fingers against her skin. A small smile cracked on your face but was quickly wiped away.

“If we’re going to make this work,” you began. “You need to be there for them always. You can’t disappear again on them, Loki. Not now, not ever. It won’t be fair to them.”

“Understood,” he nodded. “I shall always be there for them and protect them with all my might.”

“Good.”

“Are you guys serious?” Tony asked with a sigh. “Fine, it’s your call princess.”

“Speaking of that,” you muttered.

You turned towards Loki and allowed him to hold Frigga in his arms. He held his baby like she was a China doll that might break. He looked into her big, emerald eyes with such awe and fascination. He held his finger out for her to take, and she wrapped her tiny fist around it, giggling. You could have sworn you saw Loki tear up but you weren’t too sure. Seeing Frigga with her father made you start forgiving Loki for what he has done. It would take a long time however for you to fully forgive him.

Loki looked at you and whispered, “What about us? I want to at least try to make things work again…”

“Someday we will probably try,” you admitted. “But not today, tomorrow, or the next day, or next week, month, or year. It will happen when we least expect it and if you can’t handle that, then just be happy that I’m letting you see the kids.”

He smiled weakly. “Well then, I shall leave my hope for us in the future and my love for these two beautiful children will serve now.”
:iconevaesis: had made a commission request for this so here you go girl! Sorry that this one came out first before the Scarecrow fic. I just felt like writing this one more, I got more inspiration to do so lol.

Anyways, I hoped that you and everyone else enjoyed!

As for the ending, I didn't feel like doing those extended endings where the reader turns out to be married with the guy and la di da they have a happy life because I like to keep you guys wondering. Maybe reader moved on, maybe they got together, maybe she fucks Thor and realizes she loves him.

Lol.

The rest is up to your imagination~

EDIT: Not really cause

Forgive Pt 2. (LokixReader)        Six months had passed since Loki had returned to Earth. During those six months, the two of you had chances to talk but you mostly got the chance to express your anger towards him for leaving you when you were pregnant. Sure, he didn’t know but he left because he assumed you cheated on him. Which was just as bad. Loki was still not allowed to live in the same part of the tower as you but instead had to bunk with Thor (much to his displeasure). Raising the twins had been hard here and there but thankfully everyone in the tower had a baby monitor in case of an incoming attack and to give you a break every once in a while.
Now, you were sitting in the living room attempting to feed Fenrir but Frigga was being mischievous. She was throwing her small banana pieces and peaches all over the place. A banana piece even hit Fenrir on his forehead.
“Oh no…” you whispered, seeing the c
