"Hey Tony," Pepper asked as she strolled into the room. "What are you going to do for Valentine's Day?"
She looked at him with kind, yet timid eyes, awaiting his answer. Tony had been working in the lab non-stop for this entire week and Pepper assumed it was because of the holiday. Tony merely shrugged, not even looking up from the new suit he had been making. Although it was new, this one would probably end up in another pile with all the other suits he had been making this week non-stop. He grabbed a screw driver and continued to work, not looking up once at Pepper who walked over to him.
"Hey how about we go and watch a movie or something?" She tried with a weak smile. "I heard this new action movie came out and it looked like something you would like."
"Not interested," Tony said flatly.
"Oh...alright," She whispered defeated. She tapped her chin with her finger, trying to think of something else. Her eyes brigthened up when she got another idea. "Hey what about—?"
"No."
Tony immediately cut her off, this time actually looking up at her. It was clear that he was annoyed by her presence but all Pepper wanted was to help him have a good time on Valentine's Day. But ever since back then, at a certain time where the meaning was lost to him, Tony didn't even want to think that the holiday existed. Yes there was a time where he was quite fond of the day and spent his time like every other man did. He would go to the most expensive jewelry stores to buy the most expensive but beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, buy chocolates, and try to think of the perfect evening. But that all changed of course.
Tony covered his face with his hands, letting out a frustrated sigh.
"Thanks for caring Pep, but I'll do what I always do," He tried to smile but failed and then just ended up with a frown.
"Alright," Pepper nodded faintly. "Enjoy your evening, Mr. Stark."
Her heels clicked against the floor until they disappeared in the elevator and she was out of sight and out of mind. Tony looked down at what he was working on and sighed heavily, as well as his heart. He picked up the suit and tossed it, not caring that it was unfinished. He walked back to the lab table, picking up his keys so that he could drive off to a flower shop.
~~~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~~
The next day, his car pulled up to the hill that you and him went to all the time. He smiled, remembering all the fun times you two had with one another. There was that time you rolled down the hill and almost got hit by that car but, after Tony relaxed from his mild heart attack, the two of you spent the rest of the day laughing your heads off. He remembered when he once had to fly in the suit to the hill because he had lost the keys to all his cars and it had turned out that you took them all and just wanted a free ride with the suit. He remembered when he had made a picnic on that hill, and he remembered the look in your eyes when you saw what he had done.
So here he was again at this hill, walking up, taking his time. He had a bouquet of flowers in his hands—(flower name) your favorite. With a small grin on his lips, he made it to the top and there you were. He gulped for a moment before approaching you and placing the flowers on your grave.
With his hand on the tombstone, he whispered, "Happy Valentine's Day, (Name)."
And in that moment, when the wind picked up and gave a feathery touch to his cheek that was similar to a kiss, he could have sworn he heard in a gentle voice, "Happy Valentine's Day, love."
LokiXReader Wedding Vows
Loki leaned in, his hands folded neatly around yours.
To the right side of you, there were thousands, no, millions of people seated in a great sea of chairs.
To your left, there was a Minister, and a giant Television, at least thirty miles to the top of it, stretching to at most forty five miles wide so that the large audience could see every moment.
The Minister spoke loudly, the microphone amplifying his words by what seemed like an ear shattering thousand percent,
"(Y/n), do you have any vows for your Asguardian thin. . .Husband?"
You cringed as Loki set his jaw in anger at nearly being called a 'thing'.
You nodded.
For You (Clint X Reader) (One-shot)
You walked through the tower, looking for a certain someone. You felt as though you were walking for hours before finding him in the training room. He instantly saw you in the doorway and smiled before stopping the punching bag from swinging.
"Hey Clint." you grinned as you approached the man you were head over heels in love with for the past three years.
"Hey (Name). What're you up to?" he asked curiously.
"Nothing, I just came to say hi." you answered, unable to make up an excuse.
"Uhh okay." he said before going back to the punching bag. You walked over to another punching bag to show off your skil
Valentine's Day (Steve X Reader) (One Shot)
(Name) was in Stark Tower's kitchen, baking cupcakes. She smiled as the sweet aroma lifted to her nose as she pulled out the second batch. Today was the day of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Valentine's Day party. None of the agents really wanted to go, but the office people had insisted. Besides, there was supposed to be free food. Even if it meant everyone had been required to bring something.
"Smells good," Tony said as he swooped into the kitchen. He lifted a cupcake from the plate, frosted it in a swift movement, unwrapped it, and shoved it into his mouth. "HOLY SH-" he yelled as he spat the miniature cake out.
"Fresh out of the oven," (Name) quippe
You guys have no idea how morbid I felt when writing this. Like no joke. Everyone is posting all these lovey dovey one-shots and I'm sitting here like, "HEY! I have an idea to fuck with everyone's feels!"
Anyways, when looking up tombstone messages, I got the last quote there. I found it really nice and fitting for some strange reason.
For those of you who are confused, the reader (aka You) died on Valentine's Day which changed the meaning of the day to Tony forever. How you died? Well that's up to you. I was thinking of something tragic but it could have been a really simple death.
While listening to this, "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" was on replay the entire time for the oddest reason. Oh Kill Bill, how you sometimes help me write things.
Well despite the ending, I hope you all enjoyed.
