The lighting in the place really made you strain your eyes. Whenever you were at the bar for all the soldier's, you tried your best not to drink. Being at a bar with men who haven't seen women in what felt like years to them was a bad already. The last thing you needed was to be tipsy while talking to them. Besides, there was another man you were interested in. A man who always seemed to be looking in the future and not so much as the present. He was a genius, one who knew that and also knew that charm that he had towards women. That's why you barely gave it to him easy.

Mr. Howard Stark was someone you had a crush on for quiet sometime now. He probably didn't even realize it. That's what saddened you. He was always too busy with one of his inventions or working on some tactics for the war. You understood that part though. You were a general as well and knew that this war would just have to come first. Still, it aggravated you when you saw he did have time for some floozy that he just met. Then again that's just who he was. Sadly, you thought that he would never change.

"Ah Miss (l/n)," A very familiar voice said behind you. You turned around in your bar stool and your (e/c) eyes met his lively chocolate brown one's. "Taking a break I see."

You nodded curtly, out of respect. "Yes Mr. Stark I am."

"(Name) we've known each other for a while now so you can just call me Howard," He smiled at you. He sat down next to you and ordered a drink for himself.

You raised an eyebrow at him. "Alright....Howard. What brings you here? Trying to relieve some stress?"

He took a quick sip of his drink. "Yes really. This whole war has everyone on edge but lately with Captain America on our side, we've been winning."

You looked over across the bar where the super soldier was drinking with one of his friends. He looked to be having a good time. The super soldier serum did wonders on him really. People who didn't respect him before respected him now. Steve had always been a kind man though that deserved that respect. You turned back to Howard was looking at you in a strange way. It was an intense stare that made you uncomfortable in your seat.

"Something the matter?" You asked him with an uneasy smile.

He looked down at his drink. "So, (Name), what do you think of Steve?"

You thought about it for a while. "Well he's a very handsome young gentlemen. I'm glad to see him stepping out of his shell. Plus, he's so caring and protective of others. He's almost every woman's dream guy."

"....I see..." He then cleared his throat and downed his drink quickly.

Something in your head seemed to click so you looked at him with a smirk and said, "Yes but I've always had a thing for geniuses who really don't know any better." You then leaned in and were about to place a quick kiss on his cheek when he turned his face so your lips landed on his instead. This made you as red as a cherry.

"Good because I certainly prefer beautiful generals like yourself."
