I'll Be Your Valentine (NatashaxReader) One-Shot

What you saw absolutely stunned you. You thought for a moment that your eyes were deceiving you, or that this was some cruel joke. Why? BecauseNatasha Romanoff was standing before you. She smirked at you in a way that made your heart race. The black dress that she wore complemented her gorgeous body in more ways than one. There was a small tint of red in her cheeks, as if she too were nervous about this. You looked at her shocked, overjoyed, and confused. She was your Valentine?

“Natasha…?” You managed to say clearly without stumbling over your words. “You’re my….?”

“Uh, yes,” She nodded. “I wanted to be your Valentine. I wasn’t sure if this would work out so I decided to just leave some candy hearts around for you.” She looked down at the ground for a brief moment before she took a step closer to you. “Look, (Name), I’m not sure if you ‘go this way,’ but if you just want to be my Valentine as friend, then I’m fine with that.”

Now you thought your ears were deceiving you. How could this be? Did Natasha have no idea that you’ve had a crush on her for what seemed like forever? If you had known that Natasha was lesbian, or at least bi, then you would have told her about your feelings earlier. You always had the fear that you were going to be rejected. Though it looked like that didn’t matter anymore because she actually liked you back. You tried to gather your thoughts quickly, and cleared your throat awkwardly.

“Nat, I had no idea you felt this way…” This whole situation was turning awkward fast, but you were about to change that. “I just wanted to let you know, that when I first started out at SHIELD, I was grateful of how you treated me. You actually befriended and didn’t treat me like some newbie. You made me feel like I actually belonged, and I greatly appreciate that. Even today, I can’t believe what great friends we have become.”

She seemed to cringe inwardly at the word ‘friend’. She was probably thinking that you were going to friendzone her. Oh boy was she wrong. With a grin you continued.

“But I have a confession to make,” You blushed. “After a while, I started to look at you as more than a friend. I wasn’t sure what was going on at the time but then I realized that I had a crush on you….that I l-liked you. I do like you actually.”

“You do?” Natasha blinked, surprised. She raised an eyebrow at you, looking a little skeptical.

You nodded. “Yeah, I do…a lot. I never thought that you would actually feel the same way though. I guess I just thought that you would end up with Clint someday and then it would just be game over for me.”

She shook her head at you. “Clint and I are just friends. Besides, I have a thing for (h/c) haired girls with (e/c) eyes.”

She winked at you, which made you blush even more. Now that everything was out in the open, you felt much more at ease. Everything turned out to be much better than expected, which you were really happy about. Your heart was still racing, and you decided to make a bold move. You quickly wrapped your arms around Natasha to give her a kiss on the lips. With your eyes closed, and heart pounding in your chest, you felt like your feet had left the ground when she started to kiss you back. One hand rested on your shoulder while the other rested behind your neck, pulling you closer to her.

At this moment, you felt like the luckiest girl in the world. There was a smile on your lips as you kissed Natasha, and right now, the kiss felt like it would go on forever. Her lips felt smooth against your own, and by the way she kissed you, you could tell that she really did like you back just as much as you liked her. When you both parted, you were grinning like a love sick fool, and Natasha was smiling fondly at you.

“I take it that was you saying yes to being my Valentine?” she smirked.

“Idiot,” you laughed. “Of course I will be your Valentine.”
