Literature Text

Tony watched the android's sleeping form on the couch. It was strange because she wasn't actually asleep. No, she had been turned off for the time being. But the more he looked at her, the more he believed that it was really you that was sleeping on his couch.

He had had a blast with the android the other day. They got to spray paint Steve's shield a pretty color of pink and then rode it down the stairs like a sled. It was also the day that Tony got to test out the skills that she had. Overall the android had strength beyond a human's, had night vision, and her speed and agility surpassed a human's as well. She was the perfect android. It was also Tony's first so he couldn't help but feel proud for that. So far, no one had seen her. Not even Steve. Tony took all the blame when the super soldier found his shield.

He didn't mind though because as long as the super soldier didn't harm his precious android, he would be alright. The last thing he needed was for Steve to go tell Fury about this. He would probably take the android away from him and use her as some sort of weapon.

Like I'm ever going to let that happen, Tony thought irritated. He reached for the remote and pressed the on button. He watched in pure awe as her eyes opened to revel (e/c) eyes and she slowly got up to look at her surroundings. When her eyes met Tony's, she smiled.

"Good evening Tony," She greeted. "May I ask why you're up at three in the morning?"

"Couldn't sleep," He muttered. "You don't mind that I woke you, right?"

"Not at all," She shook her head. "So what would you like to do for now?"

He shrugged, realizing that he had no idea what to do. He scratched his chin, trying to think of something, anything really. He turned around in his office chair and rolled over towards the television. He picked up a Playstation controller and tossed one to her. He remembered how much you used to love to play video games so why not let the android play too?

"Video games?" She asked when she caught the controller.

"Yeah why not?"

"Okay well what game are we going to play? A shooting game?"

He turned to look at her curiously. "Yeah....we are actually. You know I used to have a friend who loved shooting games. She'd play them all the time with me."

"Sounds like an awesome friend."

Of course he was talking about you but he said it just to check something. He didn't know why but every time he looked at the android, he felt that it was really you. He couldn't understand it himself nor could he explain it. He knew that it was impossible that it was you but he couldn't help but think that sometimes. Besides, the fact that he made her to look just like you didn't help at all. With a sigh he started up the game and started to play with her and surprisingly, she won. He looked at her impressed but at the same time shocked. She had won the exact way you had. She had use the same combo moves and everything. Now he was starting to think he programmed her too well.

"Tony you're pale and my system detects that you are not feeling well. Perhaps it is time for you to go to bed," She said with a small frown.

He nodded faintly, the desire to continue to talk to her fading away. "Yeah you're right. I'll go get some sleep then."

Tony headed off to bed, forgetting to have shut her down. She smiled when she saw him enter the room and shut the door and head for some well deserved rest. She looked around the place, realizing herself that she was still awake. She figured why not do some exploring for a while?

She started to walk around, looking at all the things Tony had created in his lab. She was very impressed with the things he had created. It was at that moment that she fully became aware that she was a creation of him as well. She happy to be his invention and perhaps the only one he spent so much time with.

"(Name)," JARVIS's voice spoke.

She stopped flipping through a book she had found and looked ahead, not particularly anywhere since JARVIS was everywhere and nowhere at the same time. "Yes JARVIS?"

"You should shut yourself down now."

"And why's that?" She asked skeptically.

"Mr. Stark hasn't charged you for a while so eventually you'll shut down on your own anyways. Besides, he is asleep and has no further use for you."

She gulped even though her mouth held no saliva.  "Yes well I could just charge myself. And what if he gets in trouble at night? Who would be there to save him?"

"I'll be there," JARVIS stated firmly. "Now (Name), go to sleep now."

With a sigh she headed towards the couch and lied down. She looked at the ceiling for several minutes, the only thoughts in her mind being, I don't want to see nothing but darkness again. I don't want to shut down. I want....

If she could have cried, she would have. But she was an android and that was an emotion she could not display. She closed her beautiful (e/c) eyes and reached for the remote. Her thumb grazed over the power button and just like that her system was turned off. Her last thought being,

I want to be alive.

But android's can't think, right?

BEHOLD! I managed to update this story. Tell me which story I should update next :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this and so far things have been picking up in this story. I have several things planned out already as well as the ending so I know what to write for each part. The feels for this one is probably more towards the end.

I feel like I'm writing JARVIS with too much emotion and I hate it and love it at the same time. Even though he's an AI unit, I write him as though he can be like the next Alfred.

Let me know what you guys think of this part in the comments below :)
