The wind whipped at your face, your hair and clothes becoming torn by the forests sharp tree branches. Your (h/c) hair had twigs and dirty leaves in them, your face covered with several scratch marks. Your lungs burned from running so long but you couldn’t stop now. You took a quick glance back only to have your heart become trapped in your throat. The boys from school were still chasing you, hot on your trail on their bikes. Hot tears pricked your eyes, your brain trying to make sense of why this was happening to you.

For over two years, you had been a nobody. No one knew your name except for the teachers who sometimes forgot as well. You would always sit in the back corner of the room, near the window where your eyes could look to clouds in search of a place better than this. You made yourself the shy freak on purpose. No one could know about what you really were.

Mutant.

A true freak in every form.

But after school you made a huge mistake. You had used your powers when you thought no one was looking. The kids who were skipping detention saw you and instantly went to attack you. In their eyes you were a monster and right now you were starting to believe it. Your parents kept your very being a secret from the family, not wanting to risk them finding out about your powers. They moved far away into a town where they wouldn’t be bothered. But look at you now: running for your life.

You took a sharp turn on your left, using your powers to help you jump over a large boulder. The bikers stopped, trying to figure out where to turn to so that they may chase after you. You breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that you were safe.

However you were far from being safe.

They soon found a new path that would cross with yours. You heard the sound of their bikes approaching fast which you made you panic again. You had barely caught your breath and now you had to run again. You couldn’t keep running forever so you needed to find a hiding spot.

Others would tell you to use your powers on them but it would only make the situation worse. Those boys would tell the police and after that, your life would be over.

“Come back here, bitch!” one of the boys growled.

You ignored the rest of their vulgar commands and pushed yourself to run faster. Eventually you exited the forest and stumbled onto the open road where a motorcycle was about to hit you if the person hadn’t swerved it out of your way. You heard the vehicle screech as it was pulled to a sudden stop. You turned around and almost cried from relief when you saw who was riding it.

“Scott!”

“(Name)....” he whispered, his eyes looking over your disheveled form. “(Name), what happened to you?”

He was angry and you could tell. Scott also kept to himself like you but you two had become friends when you were both sent to detention one day. He was sent for not taking off his red sunglasses while you were sent for an incident that may or may have not involved your powers.

Scott was about to get off his motorcycle until you hopped on from behind. You placed his hands firmly on the handles.

“Drive!” you urged, hearing the boys coming closer.

“Not until you explain what happened to you.”

He was being stubborn as usual. You didn’t have the time for that now. However it was too late. The troublesome teens came onto the road and it didn’t take long for Scott to put the pieces together.

“You guys were chasing her?” he yelled angrily. “What’s wrong with you!”

“The bitch deserves to be taught a lesson. Her kind shouldn’t exist,” one of them spat.

Scott balled his fists but he did something that made you even more scared than you were before: one hand was slowly reaching for his sunglasses to pull them upwards. You saw a small red flash, but it wasn’t what you thought it was. Instead, it was an oncoming cop car. Scott grabbed you and you both hopped onto his motorcycle before the boys could blink. When they tried to follow, with a flick of the rest they were flung back into the forest with their bikes out of reach.

“Did they hurt you?” Scott asked while speeding back to his house.

“No, Scott they didn’t…”

“But they were about to, weren’t they?” he growled.

“Please Scott...just drive. I want to forget this.”

“Yeah but I don’t think I can.”

The rest of the ride had been silent. When you arrived at his house, you were relieved to see that his parents weren’t home or his brother. Mr. and Mrs. Summers were nice people however right now you couldn’t put up a fake smile and pretend that everything was okay. Scott disappeared in the kitchen only to come back with a can of coke in his hands. He gave it to you but you merely sat on the couch, staring at the red and silver can in your hands.

Even though it was over you were still shaken up over what had happened. Scott understood that. He put a comforting arm around your shoulders and brought you to his chest so that he could hug you. The moment your face made contact with his shirt, you began to cry. The can fell to the ground, your hands clutching his shirt.

“It’s okay (Name), you’re safe with me now,” he murmured in your ear.

His hand ran soothingly up and down your back, his embrace tightening around you.

“I wouldn’t have let them hurt you….”

“I thought they were going to actually….” you trailed off with a sob, burying your face in his chest.

You weren’t even sure how to end that sentence.

Would they kill you?

Injure you?

Or do something worse?

You were too scared to know. After being in Scott’s arms for about an hour, you began to feel better. Granted you didn’t want to go home anytime soon but it wasn’t like Scott was going to let you leave. He was protective of you and that was something you didn’t mind in the slightest. He had helped you get out of plenty bad situations before.

“Are you feeling okay now?” he asked softly, tilting your head up so that he could look into your eyes.

“Mhhmm,” you nodded. “Thanks Scott. I honestly don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t been driving by.”

He smiled weakly at you. “Let’s not think about that.”

After the incident, Scott was serious when he said he’d never forget it. Whenever he saw the kids in school, he showed no fear around them and would curse at them if they looked at you for too long. They were keeping their distance which would hopefully stay that way forever.

Since it was the weekend, you and Scott drove to a nearby lake where you would both have a picnic.

You had both finished up eating lunch and now you were lying down on the grass watching the clouds. You looked over to him, the smile on your face turning into a frown. Scott was rubbing his temples in frustration.

“Is your head hurting again?” you asked concerned.

“Only a little,” he smiled weakly. “I just need to take some painkillers and I’ll be fine.”

“But Scott we don’t have painkillers with us right now. Are you sure you’ll be able to take the pain until you get home?”

“Of course I can,” he scoffed.

Despite just saying that, he winced, his eye twitching. You weren’t sure what to do until you got a little idea. Laughter was the best medicine so why not try it?

“Hey Scott, look at this.”

He looked to see that you had made a large rock float to the two of you.

“Doesn’t this rock look like our english teacher Mr. Bern? Like look! It even has his bulbous nose!” you giggled.

“Oh God, it does,” Scott chuckled.

He looked up to the sky again and then stopped smiling, letting out a heavy sigh.

“I wish I could stop seeing everything in a red tint, you know?” he said before you could ask what was wrong. “Like to see everything for its true color, that’s something.”

“Well I’ll tell you one thing,” you grinned, moving over so that you were hovering over his body. “You have the prettiest blue eyes ever.”

“(Name), stop it,” he blushed at your comment. “How can you even tell what color they are?”

“In class I can tell what color they are when I look at your profile. But its true,” you laughed. “So pretty that those Barbie bitches in our school are all jealous of you.”

“They should really be jealous of you,” he smiled, brushing a lock of hair behind your ear. “You’re beautiful inside and out which is something they don’t have.”

You felt your heart starting to pound in your chest.

“Scott, now you stop it. You’re gonna make me blush.”

“Well you look cute when you blush anyways,” he smirked.

With a roll of your eyes, you lied back down next to him. You couldn’t look at him any longer or else you’d become a nervous wreck. Scott turned to his side.

“I’m being serious,” he grinned.

“I know, I know,” you muttered.

“Oh so you’re giving me the cold shoulder now?”

“No…”

This time he had moved to hover over your body. He hadn’t moved too close to you since he didn’t want you to get uncomfortable. He could see the uncertainty in your eyes. He was nervous too. Nonetheless he remained calm in order to continue with what he was going to say.

“(Name).....I would never lie to you because I like you a lot.”

“W-What?”

He looked at you completely serious and nodded.

Your heart pounded in your chest and you felt yourself shake from nervousness. You gathered all of your courage and leaned forward to place a kiss upon his lips. You broke away momentarily to see how he would react to it.

“Why’d you stop?” he said with a lopsided grin.

Scott’s lips met yours once again. The kiss was longer this time and tender. His fingers ran through your hair, his hand trailing down your side afterwards. When you both pulled away, your face was red but there was a big smile on your face.

“Hey (Name), I was thinking…..”

“What is it?” you asked curiously.

“What if after we graduate, we leave this town?”

You looked at him surprised. “Wow…I’m not sure about that…”

“(Name) you were attacked just last week. If you weren’t a mutant, it wouldn’t have happened but we can’t stay here with people who will never accept us.”

“But where do we go?”

“Anywhere,” he smiled. “We’ll go to a college in the city and get away from this place. Please say yes.”

You were silent, thinking everything over. Your main concern was your parents and what they would think of all of this but then you realized that you couldn’t be with them forever. Besides, they hadn’t treat you too kindly since you discovered your powers. If you were to leave it would be like a weight had been lifted from their shoulders.

“Alright,” you nodded. “Let’s do it.”

“Great!” he grinned. He gave you another peck on your lips. “I can’t wait to leave this town with you, (Name).”

“Me neither, Scott,” you smiled.
ALRIGHT PEEPS IT MAY BE A GOOD IDEA TO READ THIS INFO DOWN HERE
DO IT
I COMMAND YOU

Ahem. So since I re-watched the X-Men Origins Wolverine movie, I decided to write something with young Scott. I really do hope I got his personality right and all since like in the movie he didn't get much screen time.

And now BEFORE YOU ASK, YES THERE WILL BE MORE SCOTT FICS.

However there is something I want to ask you guys: would you be interested in seeing a part two to this? I have a few ideas that could make that happen.
