Will U Be Mine? (LokixReader) One-Shot

"L-Loki?" You stammered, shock written on your face.

How could it be that the God of Mischief had been the one that sent you those candy hearts? Loki didn't even seem like the type to do something that sweet. Still, your heart was beating a mile a minute. Loki was a handsome God that could make you blush just with a smile. He smirked at you, his emerald eyes sparkling underneath the moonlight.

"Hello darling," Loki purred. "This is quite a surprise for you, is it not?"

"Big surprise," You nodded slowly. Your eyes were still wide with disbelief as you looked at him.

He stood before you wearing a black tux, his black hair slicked back and a blue velvet scarf tied around his neck. He looked very handsome and certainly knew how to dress up well. He smirked at you before reaching behind his back and presenting you a single red rose that seemed to appear from thin air.

"For you, my dear," He grinned.

You took the rose and blushed. "Thank you....Loki I do believe you owe me an explanation though this is all very nice of you to do."

You weren't sure what he was about to say, but you prepared to listen. He brushed the corner of his lips with his thumb, casting his gaze to the floor for a second. He seemed to be thinking something's over in his head. When he did look up at you, his eyes weren't so cold and distant.

Loki had always kept to himself in the tower and barely talked to others. He did talk to you though. The two of you mostly talked when you were on your lunch break or when you were in the library back at Stark Tower. There you would find Loki reading the various books in the library with such interest and curiosity. He especially liked Shakespearean books and even once, recited a few lines to you that he knew by heart. It was those moments that you saw that Loki wasn’t that bad after all.

“To be honest, (Name),” He began. “This was the entire patriotic one’s idea. He and the Man of Iron both agreed that I should do something like this to win your heart. I didn’t exactly agree with them but I figured why not? This sort of thing is usually how Midgardian’s woo each other, is it not?”

At first, you tried not to laugh at the image of Steve and Tony giving Loki some romance advice. You could already see Steve and Tony bickering with one another because they didn’t agree with one another’s ideas. You would have to thank them later for this. Then you looked at Loki, trying to think of what to say.

“Does this mean you like me?” You blurted out.

He chuckled at your bluntness, making your cheeks grow warm. “I thought it was obvious but apparently not…”

You cocked your head to the side confused. “Wait…you do?”

He took a step towards you and put his hands on your shoulders as he stared deep into your (e/c) orbs. “Normally Midgardian’s annoy me but you are so different from them. You don’t try to be the hero; you don’t try to befriend me just for your benefit. You weren’t like those other women who merely talked to me in hopes that they could be more than friends with me someday. No, you truly accepted me for who I was. Plus, you weren’t too pushy nor to detached. You were, and are, perfect.”

Your heart thumped in your chest when he leaned in and his lips brushed against yours in a heart melting kiss. You kissed him back tenderly, your arms slowly going to wrap around his neck to bring him closer to you. His skin was cold as usual but for a moment it seemed that warmth seemed to flow through him. You weren’t sure however since the kiss ended as quickly as it started.  

He took your hand and started to walk with you towards the small pond that was in the garden. Once the two of you stepped foot on the mini bridge that was there, he stopped and looked up at the full moon in the sky. You were so nervous at this moment. You didn’t think that Loki had a crush on you at all. You just thought that the two of you were friends. As puzzling thoughts entered and exited your mind, Loki pulled you away from them by clearing his throat to gain your attention. You looked at him curiously, wondering what he was going to do next.

He reached inside his pocket and pulled out a gold and emerald necklace. The necklace was beautiful with its golden chain and the emerald jewel incased around a circle of diamonds. You don’t know when Loki had gotten this but it took your breath away.

“(Name)…I know that this all very sudden but please believe every word that I have said. I do mean it, I do like you—love you actually sounds better and describes how I feel.”

“Loki this entire evening that I’ve been with you, I’ve just been speechless,” You smiled softly. “I didn’t know that you felt this way about me and I just wish I did so that I could have told you how I felt earlier.”

He grinned at your words. “Will then I guess asking you this will be easier.”

“Asking me what?”

He stepped behind you so that he could put the necklace on you. When he faced you again, he cupped your face with your hands and leaned in to whisper, “Well like the candy heart said, will u be mine?”
